Daily Devotional Rev. Johnnie Flakes,III - October 24, 2007

Good morning,

The devotion for today comes from Hebrews 6:18 "That by two immutable (unchanging) things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us."

Remember this morning, throughout today and throughout your life, this biblical truth, "God cannot lie."  Who will you believe this morning your feelings, yourself or God's word? Whatever happens today that may challenge you on your job, financially, family, school, marital, health, etc., remember, Jesus said in John 16:33 "You will have trails and tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world."  In John 14:27 Jesus said "My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, but as I give to you, let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

This morning, today, throughout your life, who will you believe?

Have a wonderful trusting, hope filled day!

Your brother in Christ,
J. H. Flakes III
